About Sarah

Sarah is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about helping people with a wide range of communication and swallowing difficulties to achieve meaningful outcomes that improve their quality of life. Sarah is registered with Speech Pathology Australia and completed her Honours in Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland. Sarah has a special interest in working with children with neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Specific Learning Impairments. Sarah has over 7 years experience in treating: articulation and phonological disorders, motor-speech disorders, voice disorders, fluency disorders, language disorders and literacy delays. She also has experience in providing alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)  using Proloquo2go and social-skills intervention.

 

Sarah uses evidence-based therapy approaches and provides individualised treatment plans focused on supporting each client to achieve their fullest potential. She has formal training in: Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk (Early communication), Sounds-Write Literacy Program, Superflex Social Skills Program, Dysphagia Screening Tool as well as Lee Silverman’s Voice Treatment and continues to attend workshops to expand her skills in all speech pathology areas. In her free time, Sarah enjoys caring for her animals on her farm and catching up with her ‘foodie’ friends on the weekends!
